For more than 50 years, the Crocker has proudly presented its classical concert series, featuring the finest musicians and singers from the Sacramento region and around the world. These educational performances are approximately 60 minutes, with no intermission, and draw inspiration from art on view at the Museum. 

Er-Gene Kahng, violin 
Violinist Er-Gene Kahng explores contemporary storytelling for solo violin, drawing from jazz, blues, folk, and improvisation traditions. Inspired by Wosene Worke Kosrof's vibrant painting A Taste for Words X (2021), Kahng’s performance mirrors the artwork's energy and virtuosity—celebrating an identity shaped by disparate histories that form a harmonious whole.
