Discover the art of craft through the creation of your own quilted tote bag. Delving into techniques and themes on view in the exhibition Black Artists in America: From the Bicentennial to September 11, participants will arrange and sew an original 22” x 18” bag, complete with straps and a pocket. Fabric in African, floral, and abstract motifs will be provided. Familiarity with basic machine sewing techniques is required. 

Supply List: Please bring your own sewing machine. If you need to borrow one from the Museum, email emoore@crockerartmuseum.org
