Muriel & Ernest Johnson Ballroom

With floor-to-ceiling opulent victorian architecture details, the ballroom adds the perfect vintage elegance to any event. Guests will have the unique opportunity to enter through the historic entrance, exclusively available for after-hour private events. The ballroom has 2,900 square feet of usable space, with capacity at 300 standing, 200 theater style, or 120 banquet style.

Photoshoots FAQ

Many artworks on view are copyright protected. The client is responsible for obtaining written permission from the artist or authorized representative of the copyright. 

You must supply your own equipment. Tripods, flash, strobe, and stand lights are permitted, but the amount of equipment allowed in the space may be limited. Drones are not permitted. 

To protect the art, some items are prohibited in the Museum including: 

  • Objects or devices that may interfere with the Crocker’s HVAC system, security controls, or other Museum equipment and displays 

  • Signage affixed to walls or exhibition cases  

  • Confetti, glitter, tinsel, rice, birdseed, or similar material  

  • Non-treated plant material   

  • Flammable materials (e.g., bunting, tissue paper, crepe paper)  

  • Feathers, fur, skins, or other untreated animal material  

  • Smoke, bubble, or fog machines  

  • Helium balloons 

Commercial photography and videography are prohibited unless written approval is obtained in advance from the Museum. Additional policies, procedures, and fees may apply. The Museum reserves the right to request reciprocal use of photography and videography. The photographer shall retain copyright of the images and will be appropriately credited in any use of the images.
