Join us at 7:30 PM before each film for a guided Reel Tour of works on view that relate to themes in the film series. No pre-registration required.

Celebrate local hometown heroine Greta Gerwig with Movies Off the Wall, the Crocker’s summer film series screened in the outdoor courtyard against the Teel Family Pavilion’s iconic architecture. Arrive early to grab your seat and a bite to eat from Majka at the Crocker while grooving to film-inspired DJ sets. Then, relax under the stars for iconic films screened at larger-than-life scale. Films start at sundown.

In this coming-of-age tale set in 2002 Sacramento, an eccentric teenager attending a Catholic high school deals with the pangs of first love and clashes with her mother over her plans for the future.

Please note the following policies and procedures:

No outside food and drink allowed. Water bottles are permitted. The Museum café will remain open until 8:30 PM.

The Museum now implements a bag search as a security measure at all Thursday evening events. Purses and personal bags larger than 8"x 6"X 2" are prohibited inside the Crocker Art Museum during events. Baby and medical bags, no larger than 16” x 16” x 8" are permitted but may be searched and tagged by security. Chairs carried in bags may also be searched by security.

If you plan to arrive early and bring your own chair a designated area will be available for chair storage prior to the program. Chairs may not be carried through the Museum.
