Delve into the power of portraiture on film with a series inspired by the Crocker’s photography collection documenting the people, places, and moments in history that define the Golden State. Presented in partnership with California Humanities, which supported the making of these films through the California Documentary Project grant program, this series includes a Q & A with filmmakers and film participants following each screening.
Fanny: The Right to Rock (1 hour, 36 minutes)
The untold story of a Filipina American garage band that morphed into the ferocious rock group Fanny, the first all-women band to release an album with a major record label.
The film's director, Bobbi Jo Hart, and band members, Jean Millington and Brie Darling, will be present for a Q&A following the screening.

Outside food and drink are not allowed. Water bottles are permitted. The Crocker café will be closed.
Bags:
The Museum implements a bag search as a security measure at all Thursday evening events. Purses and personal bags larger than 8"x 6"X 2" are prohibited inside the Crocker Art Museum during events. Baby and medical bags, no larger than 16” x 16” x 8" are permitted but may be searched and tagged by security.
