Experience the Crocker's world-renowned collection and diverse exhibitions through discussion and artmaking, and let great art of the past and present inspire your own creative expression.
Draw inspiration from photography exhibitions on view to explore how to create an intimate portrait and learn the fundamentals of portrait photography, including posing and interacting with your subject, building rapport, equipment choice, and the use of natural and artificial light. Participants must have their own DSLR or mirrorless camera, a familiarity with camera functions, and knowledge of ISO, aperture, and shutter speed.
Most classes include at least one gallery visit to view the permanent collection or a special exhibition. The Museum's highly trained staff and instructors are committed to providing students of all experience levels with a supportive and engaging experience.
Advance registration required. Participants must bring their own DSLR or mirrorless camera.
