For more than 50 years, the Crocker has proudly presented its classical concert series, featuring the finest musicians and singers from the Sacramento region and around the world. These educational performances are approximately 60 minutes, with no intermission, and draw inspiration from art on view at the Museum.

Soprano Yoo Ri Clark and pianist Carlos McMillan Fuentes explore the Crocker's American art collection through Libby Larsen's The Cowboy Songs—three character pieces inspired by landscapes from the Sierra Nevada to San Diego beaches. With sunny, down-to-earth charm, Larsen's jazz harmonies and modern dissonances echo the spirit of the Gold Rush era and California's expansive vistas.
