Join us in celebrating National Poetry Month with an exciting evening of art and performances that highlight Sacramento’s rich tradition of spoken and written word. In partnership with Sacramento Public Library, Lavender Library, and 916 Ink, the event will feature Chio Saeturn as the MC for the night, and Traci Gourdine and Andru DeFeye as the headlining poets, followed by an open mic session. Open mic sign-ups begin at 6 PM.
In preparation for Open Poetry, enjoy the Crocker’s digital Poets from the Library Series here.
Grab a glass of wine at Crocker Happy Hour from 5 – 7 PM. Members enjoy complimentary wine from Turkovich Wines, while nonmembers can indulge at a special happy hour price. While supplies last. The Crocker Café is closed, so grab a bite before or after the festivities. Additional food is available to purchase courtesy of Senor Burger.

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:
Food and Drink:
Outside food and drink are not allowed. Water bottles are permitted. The Crocker Café is open until 7:30 PM.
Bags:
The Museum implements a bag search as a security measure at all Thursday evening events. Purses and personal bags larger than 8" x 6" x 2" are prohibited inside the Crocker Art Museum during events. Baby and medical bags no larger than 16” x 16” x 8" are permitted but may be searched and tagged by security.
