A Kingsley Art Club tradition, this year’s exhibition features artwork from regional high school students inspired by the Crocker Art Museum’s permanent collection and recent exhibitions. Founded in 1892, the Kingsley Art Club’s mission has been dedicated to the knowledge, appreciation, and teaching of the arts.

Since 1954 the Kingsley Art Club has sponsored an annual Merit Awards scholarship to acknowledge promising art students enrolled in Sacramento area community colleges. The art faculties at American River, Cosumnes River, Folsom Lake, Sacramento City, Sierra, Woodland, and Yuba Colleges select the students to be honored. Receiving the Kinglsey Merit Award has made a difference in the lives of many emerging artists in our community by supporting their continued education.
