Thiebaud 101 Color and Composition (via Zoom)

Celebrate the life and legacy of Wayne Thiebaud and explore all
aspects of his unique draftsmanship in this three-class course. Delve into Thiebuad’s complex use of
composition and learn how he exaggerated colors to depict a variety of subject
matter. Then, use acrylic paint and your new insight into Thiebaud’s methodology to create
your own vibrant and colorful paintings.
Instructor: Instructor Patris left the education profession in 2004 to pursue her art full time. She has been juried into several national plein air painting competitions, and her work is in many private and public collections. Patris opened her own studio and gallery in Oak Park where she exhibits her artwork along with other local artists and coordinates other art-related events. She teaches art classes on a wide variety of subject matter both in her studio and online.
