Designed for those wishing to experience painting outdoors on location, this class will help students of all levels elevate their technique and skill level. Observe atmospheric effects and seasonal changes, and learn how to work efficiently to capture the ever-changing light, subject matter, and weather. Students will observe painting demonstrations daily with discussions and critiques, as well as enjoy one-on-one instruction throughout the 3-hour sessions. All levels welcome, beginning to advanced.Location: Land Park
Instructor: Captivated by artwork and illustrations in books and newspapers his childhood, Instructor Shanon Essex chose a creative life immersed in visual arts, design and music. That choice led to a BFA in Painting & Drawing from San Francisco’s Academy of Art in the Spring of 2000. His fine art painting and drawing is enjoyed by art enthusiasts and private collectors, and has been included in interior design projects nationwide. Shanon has enjoyed sharing his diverse creative talents and experience instructing drawing and painting classes in Northern California since 2013.
