Find out why the nude human figure remains a popular subject through centuries of artistic practice and dozens of art-historical movements and styles. Participants in this class will observe and analyze the human form, and draw from nude models.

Instructor: Captivated by artwork and illustrations in books and newspapers his childhood, Instructor Shanon Essex chose a creative life immersed in visual arts, design and music. That choice led to a BFA in Painting & Drawing from San Francisco’s Academy of Art in the Spring of 2000. His fine art painting and drawing is enjoyed by art enthusiasts and private collectors, and has been included in interior design projects nationwide. Shanon has enjoyed sharing his diverse creative talents and experience instructing drawing and painting classes in Northern California since 2013.
