Creatively explore your self-care needs in an easy-going workshop designed as a respite from stress and anxiety. Start by practicing techniques in an intimate group setting under the guidance of a skilled practitioner. Then, engage in simple watercolor activities that put your mind, body, and soul in alignment. Finish with simple meditation techniques that can be used in daily life. Enrollment closes October 15.

Teresa Sedano is a retired adjunct faculty at American River College, where she instructed sign language interpreting students in the area of Ethics and Professional Standards. She holds a Master’s degree in Contemplative Education, and has trained specifically in contemplative art, which blends mindfulness techniques with creative self-expression.
Prior to her Master’s work, Sedano worked as a meditation guide for “One House of Peace”, a non-profit organization now located in Portland, Oregon. Sedano is a member of the Northern California Art Therapy Association and holds a certificate in Expressive Art Therapy. Sedano has enjoyed a long collaboration with the Crocker. She has coordinated a mentorship program for interpreting students from American River College and been involved with its Art Rx programs for many years.
