Paint a Poppy

Celebrate the many paintings in the Crocker that depict the state flower. Take a close-up look at the poppy and analyze the shapes that make up its form.Afterward, make several drawings from observation with pictures as the model, then choose one to develop into a painting on a 11” X 14” painting on canvas.
Instructor Patris left the education profession in 2004 to pursue her art full-time. She has recently been juried into several national plein air painting competitions and her work is in many private and public collections. She served on the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission and is a member of the California Art Club, the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association, and Landscape Artists International.
$20 supply fee
A list of supplies will be emailed to participants following registration. Make it easy on yourself and purchase a Supplies-to-Go Bag. Bags are packed and quarantined for 72 hours prior to curbside pick-up. Limit one supply bag per participant.
