CANCELLED: Paint Something Ugly

Ages 14 - 17

Tuesday, April 7, 2020
10:30 AM - 4 PM

Tuesday & Wednesday: April 7 & 8

Break the rules by painting something unusual, wacky, or downright weird. Designed for young artists, this class shifts the focus from product to process and encourages experimental paintings that take risks and rebel against the norm. Remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

No experience is required unless noted. The Museum provides student-quality supplies included in the fee unless indicated otherwise.

Instructor Li Ezzell has been an educator since 2001. He has worked with all age groups, including elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as with adult learners, in places such as Japan, the Bay Area, and Sacramento. Li currently teaches elementary art in Sacramento. He earned his B.A. in Studio Art from Reed College, and his M.Ed. in Integrated Teaching Through the Arts from Lesley University. In 2020, he will start a two-year term as President of the California Art Education Association (CAEA), the professional organization for visual art teachers in CA.
