Two Sundays March 1 & 8

Explore mixed media in a class inspired by Mickalene Thomas, a contemporary African American artist known for rhinestone encrusted portrait paintings. Learn the basics of acrylic painting: color complements, tints, and shades. After experimenting with color mixing and techniques, paint an acrylic work on canvas. Then select from a variety of material, including rhinestones to add to your painting.

No experience is required unless noted. The Museum provides student-quality supplies included in the fee unless indicated otherwise.
