One Good Thing Presents Animated Museums: The Ongoing ArtMix Experiment
Thursday, October 10, 2019
5 - 7 PM
Museums continue to think outside the box when engaging their audiences. Join us at the Crocker Art Museum for a panel discussion around recent experiments with engagement through evening events, block parties, and more. Stick around after the panel to experience ArtMix, a monthly late-night program at the museum, beginning at 6 PM, with fellow museum colleagues. This month's ArtMix theme is GRIMM, so costumes are encouraged! Our discussion will be held in the Works on Paper Study Center on the second floor of the Teel Pavilion.
Cynthia Taylor, Associate Director of Public Engagement, Oakland Museum of California

One Good Thing (OGT) is a series of face-to-face professional development opportunities for museum educators. Through these gatherings participants learn about next practices for designing and implementing museum education-related programs. OGT is supported by AAM’s Education Committee (EdCom) and developed by regional representatives, who are museum educators that volunteer for EdCom. This workshop is an AAM EdCom “One Good Thing” generously hosted by the Crocker Art Museum with support from the California Association of Museums (CAM).
