Crocker Art Camp: Super-powered Paintings
Friday, January 3, 2020
9 AM – 4 PM
This session is now full.
The Crocker Art Museum offers high-quality, full-day art camps designed to support campers as they imagine, experiment, and create. Crocker camps focus on process over product and offer campers an opportunity to explore diverse subjects and materials through the Museum’s renowned collection and special exhibitions. Campers develop friendships and critical thinking skills through looking at, talking about, and making art.
In our Super-powered Paintings Camp, participants ages 6 to 9 will be engaged in demonstrations of acrylic painting techniques and get the hang of it with lots of practice. After painting imagined heroes, campers will enhance their subject with superpowers by adding explosive color and detail.
• Low campers-to-educator ratio (never more than 9-to-1, and frequently lower)
• Regular visits to the Crocker galleries
• All supplies included
• Each participant receives two snacks per day. Box lunches are available for purchase from the Crocker Cafe by Supper Club
• Each camper receives a 100-percent cotton Crocker Kid t-shirt
4 days of camp — register for one session or all four. Campers will learn new types of art-making each day!
