About the instructor:
Leah Newton has a masters degree in education, a teaching credential for multiple subjects, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in dance from Loyola Marymount. Leah has been teaching since 1996 in grades K-12, and her students have won several local and national art awards. Over the past five years, Leah has shown her artwork at venues like the Blue Line Arts Gallery, the Sacramento Fine Arts Center, and the California State Fair. She published her first children’s book, “Of Wonder and Dreams”, which she both authored and illustrated.

No experience is required unless noted. The Museum provides student-quality supplies included in the fee unless indicated otherwise. Students are welcome to bring their personal supplies; however there is no discount for doing so. Oil paints are not allowed in studio classrooms.
