Draw details with ease using color pencils and new techniques. Students will begin drawing simple still life compositions then develop more complex subjects as they learn to blend colors by cross-hatching and layering, and achieve 3-D effects by shading.

About the instructor:
Laura Schofield was an instructor at Academic Talent Search (ATS) through CSUS for 15 years where she instructed grades 4 through 9 students in color theory, beginning cartooning, animation, Stop-motion and Anime/Manga. She currently teaches oil & chalk pastels, colored pencil, charcoal and pen & ink at University Art. “I love teaching art students of all ages. They are excited to participate and absorb everything we cover in class. This willingness and enthusiasm to learn makes me a better educator because I draw from their energy."
