Practice acrylic painting techniques on paper, then display your skills and originality on art you can wear and use. Designed for all skill levels, beginners will get step-by-step instruction for a simple composition while advanced participants paint at their own pace.

Sessions must be registered individually:

Session 1: Saturday, June 8, 12 – 4 PM: Paint a canvas apron

Session 2: Saturday, July 13, 12 – 4 PM: Paint a canvas tote bag

Session 3: Saturday, August 10, 12 – 4 PM: Paint a wooden keepsake box

About the instructor:
Laura Schofield was an instructor at Academic Talent Search (ATS) through CSUS for 15 years where she instructed grades 4 through 9 students in color theory, beginning cartooning, animation, Stop-motion and Anime/Manga. She currently teaches oil & chalk pastels, colored pencil, charcoal and pen & ink at University Art.

No experience is required unless noted. The Museum provides student-quality supplies included in the fee unless indicated otherwise. Students are welcome to bring their personal supplies; however there is no discount for doing so. Oil paints are not allowed in studio classrooms.
