Practice acrylic painting techniques on paper, then display your skills and originality on art you can wear and use. Designed for all skill levels, beginners will get step-by-step instruction for a simple composition while advanced participants paint at their own pace.

Sessions must be registered individually:

Session 1: Saturday, June 8, 12 – 4 PM: Paint a canvas apron

Session 2: Saturday, July 13, 12 – 4 PM: Paint a canvas tote bag

Session 3: Saturday, August 10, 12 – 4 PM: Paint a wooden keepsake box

About the instructor:
Patris left the education profession in 2004 to pursue her art full-time. She has recently been juried into several national plein air painting competitions and her work is in many private and public collections. She served on the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission and is a member of the California Art Club, the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association, and Landscape Artists International. Patris will teach Inside the Mind of the Artist Series: Vincent Van Gogh and Paint Seascapes without a Brush.

No experience is required unless noted. The Museum provides student-quality supplies included in the fee unless indicated otherwise. Students are welcome to bring their personal supplies; however there is no discount for doing so. Oil paints are not allowed in studio classrooms.
