Jacob Lawrence, was inspired by the poets and writers of the Harlem Renaissance. The evening will start with a brief overview of History, Labor, Life: The Prints of Jacob Lawrence, and we will honor the artist through readings of works by Harlem Renaissance poets and original poems shared by participants. Space is limited, and advance registration is recommended. Sign-ups begin at 6 PM.
