The Crocker is excited to introduce a series of quick and easy art history courses that will take you around the world and back in time. Using the Crocker’s collection and illustrations of iconic works of art, participants will enjoy learning about the elements, ideas, movements, and themes that have influenced the formation of European and American styles. There’s no homework, tests, or studying — just the pure fun of learning.

About the Instructor:

Jill Pease is the Crocker’s former Docent Education Coordinator/Liaison for the Crocker and has worked in arts education for more than two decades. She is a credentialed community college instructor, a former co-director of the California Consultancy for Arts Education, and was awarded the California Art Education Association’s Award of Merit in 2005. She has master’s degrees in both German and art history from the University of California, Davis.

No experience is required unless noted. The Museum provides student-quality supplies included in the fee unless indicated otherwise. Students are welcome to bring their personal supplies; however there is no discount for doing so. Oil paints are not allowed in studio classrooms.
