See the many ways artists interpret everyday objects into still life paintings that capture the viewers' imaginations through time. Gain an understanding of composition, color theory, and depth through focused viewing and guided discussion. Back in the studios, arrange a still life as a collaborative effort, then paint from your own perspective while receiving basic acrylic painting instruction.

About the Instructor:

Nancy Klos is a professional fine artist. She has offered workshops throughout the Northwest, Idaho and California and lives in Portland, Oregon where she established Klos Studios in 1990. Although Nancy has lived in many parts of the country she considers the NW her real home. There in her studio “Atelier NAN” she creates drawings, paintings, mixed media and commissions for a national clientele.

No experience is required unless noted. The Museum provides student-quality supplies included in the fee unless indicated otherwise. Students are welcome to bring their personal supplies; however there is no discount for doing so. Oil paints are not allowed in studio classrooms.
