There’s a global movement within education systems to focus on the benefits of mindfulness. These benefits are especially apparent in the context of experiencing art. Explore the crossover between observation, mindfulness, and meditation with Phoenix Art Museum Assistant Education Director Christian Adame, whose work with slow art and mindfulness has garnered national attention in the museum education field. Using the Crocker’s collection, this participatory workshop will introduce methodology, techniques, and practical applications to teachers. No experience with mindfulness necessary.
