Jazz Night at the Crocker: Ali Ryerson Quartet

Thursday, June 21, 2018
6:30 PM

Sacramento’s longest-running summer jazz series is tuning up in 2018 with premier performances on third Thursdays, May through August. This year's lineup was selected by Capital Public Radio’s Jazz Music Director Gary Vercelli.

With a career spanning more than four decades, jazz flutist Ali Ryerson gives performances that are nothing less than magical. Nominated as Jazz Flutist of the Year by The Jazz Journalists Association, Ryerson is considered among the top in the country, with nearly two dozen recordings on major labels such as Concord, DMP, and Capri Records. A global jazz trotter, this is Ryerson’s Sacramento debut and shouldn't be missed.
