For Ages 9-12

Squish, roll, and push clay while learning hand-building techniques such as pinch, slab, and coil. Participants will enjoy a global view of clay from the Crocker’s collection and will come away with wearable and usable art like beads and bowls.

$100 members • $125 nonmembers

About the Instructor:

Josie Parker is a young artist who has been passionate about creating art of all kinds since childhood. She enjoys experimenting and working in mixed media, particularly with colored pencil, marker, acrylic paint, watercolor, and creating three dimensional art of all kinds, from attempts at stone carving to prosthetic makeup. Josie enjoys introducing people to new art forms and techniques, and is eager to share her love for creating with others.

You can "Bundle" this class with Something Different Every Day from 1 - 4 PM.

When you register your child for this "Bundle," our education department supervises an hour of midday care each day between classes for only $20 ($16 for 4-day week). Children bring their own lunch, and parents are welcome to join for lunchtime. Please click here for midday care.

No experience is required unless noted. The Museum provides student-quality supplies included in the fee unless indicated otherwise. Students are welcome to bring their personal supplies; however there is no discount for doing so. Oil paints are not allowed in studio classrooms.
