Monotype printing, the process of a single transfer of an image, is described as a “painterly” printmaking technique because of the soft and blurred images it produces. Discover the visual affects you can achieve through various inking methods and materials.

Instructor: Katherine Venturelli
About the Instructor:
Artist and teacher Katherine Venturelli is nationally and internationally recognized for unique and varied edition artist books and fine prints produced at her printmaking studio in Sutter Creek. Her work is represented in many prestigious museum collections, including the Crocker’s. Venturelli is an adjunct faculty member with the Los Rios Community College District.

No experience is required unless noted. The Museum provides student-quality supplies included in the fee unless indicated otherwise. Students are welcome to bring their personal supplies; however there is no discount for doing so. Oil paints are not allowed in studio classrooms.
