Fourth Friday: Musical Garden

Friday, June 22, 2018
10:30 AM - 12 PM (Drop In)

For the second Fourth Friday, the Crocker Art Museum invites families to the opening of an exciting outdoor musical sculpture! “Gem Tones”, the museum’s newest Art Spot, was designed by artist Sonja White, who also created “Wingding”. Families can meet Sonja and explore musical play with Julian Dixon from Sacramento Philharmonic & Opera in an interactive instrument garden. Kids will be inspired to create their own instruments and play along with a lively steel-drum performance by Shawn Thwaites Rebel Quartet. Explore how music and art inspire each other in engaging, melodious ways.
