Complete a simple, three-piece figure while learning basic doll construction. Embellish your creation with ribbon, lace, sequins, and more, then top it off with a yarn wig. Enhance your figure’s unique personality by painting a face on fabric to give it a 3-D look.
$120 members • $135 nonmembers
Instructor: Gloria Grandy
Supplies: Bring your own sewing machine with zig-zag capability. If you do not own a machine, call (916) 808-1182 to inquire about borrowing. The Crocker has a limited number of machines available.
About the Instructor:
Gloria Grandy is a freelance artist, designer, and crafter with roots in theater costume design and interior design. She is a passionate doll maker and teaches doll design to people of all ages. Her work comes from the creative spirit within and is inspired by music, movies, theater, nature, poetry, and everyday people. Once she learned to sew from her mother when she was 9, she never stopped.

No experience is required unless noted. The Museum provides student-quality supplies included in the fee unless indicated otherwise. Students are welcome to bring their personal supplies; however there is no discount for doing so. Oil paints are not allowed in studio classrooms.
