Friday, July 7, 2017
11 AM - 12:30 PM
This summer, Family Fridays are hands on! Explore a different artistic material each week, with interactive artist demonstrations, exciting performances, and creations you can take home. Designed for a range of abilities and learning styles, Family Fridays take place in the E. Kendall Davis courtyard and include multisensory activities, picnic areas, and a Double Digit Clubhouse just for kids 10 and older.
On July 7th, Vegetable Circus brings silly acrobatics and delicious acts of daring, and printmaker Emily Elders pulls produce-inspired prints that everyone can take a bite out of!
Vegetable Circus uses circus arts to teach students of all ages creative and exciting ways to live healthy! Primary themes are healthy eating, healthy movement, and healthy hydration. Vegetable Circus shows are full of comedy, audience participation, musical performance, and high energy circus entertainment! Have fun learning how to live healthy at a spectacular circus show!
Emily Elders is a self-taught artist and active member of the Roseville and Sacramento art communities. She is on the board for Chalk it Up and the annual High School self-portrait show at the Crocker, and helps run a summer camp art program in the Sierra foothills.
