Calidanza: "Noches de Muertos"

Don’t miss your last opportunity to view the 18-member Calidanza Dance Company under the stars in the Crocker’s courtyard. The ballet folklorico will perform high-energy dances to commemorate the sacred Day of the Dead. From the 2013 “Noche de Muertos,” a modernistic piece commissioned by the San Francisco Symphony, to the new choreography of “La Viejada,” "Noche de Muertos" is a complete, immersive experience with fantastical costumes by designer Rory Castillo and new his show-stopping Catrina Catwalk Fashion Show of "Mexican Storybook of Famous Women" ; “Light Show and Live Cinema” by George Holden (of Santana, Jefferson Airplane, Van Morrison); and live music performed by San Francisco's Vinic-Kay, a five piece, award-winning experimental group of Folkloric Music. Come out for this musical exploration of Day of the Dead.

Parking at the Crocker can be impacted during large events. To ensure an easy parking experience during your visit, we suggest using street parking (metered) on 3rd Street, Front Street, or N Street to avoid City of Sacramento parking lot congestion.
$5 parking is also available at 1801 3rd St (between R and S), from 5:30-10:00 PM.
