Sacramento-based comic book author Eben Burgoon will guide participants through topics like comparative literature and cultural myths while observing the Museum's permanent collection and the exhibition Turn the Page: The First 10 Years of High-Fructose. Participants will explore short fiction, screenwriting, comic book writing, and more. This workshop will also offer sessions for critique and peer-reviews. This class is two days a week for four weeks.

Instructor: Eben Burgoon
About the Instructor:
Eben Burgoon is a fuzzy and ill-defined author and producer best known for a big fluffy beard and for penning several independent comic books. Eben is committed to spreading the love of creative expression in many mediums, but actively champions creative writing up and down the West Coast with a series of creative writing courses that has reached more than 2,000 budding writers. He is based in Sacramento with two wiener dogs, two cats, and a very special lady.

No experience is required unless noted. The Museum provides student-quality supplies included in the fee unless indicated otherwise. Students are welcome to bring their personal supplies; however there is no discount for doing so. Oil paints are not allowed in studio classrooms.
