Two Sundays, August 20 & 27

Gain an understanding of telescopic perspective, color and spatial relationships, and visual weight by arranging bits and pieces of imagery into complex compositions. Employ the collage technique to learn about composition and the formal elements of art, such as pattern, texture, line, and perspective. After the session, your collage will be copied onto photography paper. Students will take home a finished collage in a mat suitable for framing.

$60 members • $75 nonmembers

About the Instructor:

As a visual artist, Geri Donavan has been included in the permanent collections of museums throughout the U.S. and has exhibited in many venues in Sacramento and throughout Northern California. She earned her MFA from John F. Kennedy University with a degree in arts and consciousness. She teaches art history at Cosumnes RiverCollege.

No experience is required unless noted. The Museum provides student-quality supplies included in the fee unless indicated otherwise. Students are welcome to bring their personal supplies; however there is no discount for doing so. Oil paints are not allowed in studio classrooms.
