Art Outing: Tuesday, July 11
This full-day excursion to San Francisco will give you a taste of world-class art at two renowned institutions. Spend the morning at the Legion of Honor, and participate in a docent-led tour of the Degas, Impressionism, and the Paris Millinery Trade exhibition. See pastels and paintings by Impressionist masters, peruse 40 examples of high-fashion period hats, and gain an understanding of the millinery trade. Then, we'll depart for the de Young, where you can enjoy lunch on your own in the museum café or nearby Golden Gate Park. Enjoy a docent-led tour of Summer of Love: Art, Fashion, and Rock & Roll, and stroll the galleries at your leisure.
Schedule: Depart Sacramento at 9 AM, arrive at Legion of Honor at 11 AM. Depart Legion of Honor at 1 PM, arrive de Young at 1:30 PM. Depart de Young at 5 PM, arrive in Sacramento at 6:30 PM. Times are subject to change.

No experience is required unless noted. The Museum provides student-quality supplies included in the fee unless indicated otherwise. Students are welcome to bring their personal supplies; however there is no discount for doing so. Oil paints are not allowed in studio classrooms.
