Three Sundays, February 26 - March 12
The elements and principles of design are the building blocks of art. In this class, apply these principles to create your own mosaic made of tile and glass on an architectural form. Practice the basics of color theory and patterns, then learn tiling techniques to create a vivid design.

Instructor: Jen McGuire
About the Instructor:
Jennifer Iams-McGuire is an award-winning mosaic artist whose work is exhibited in various galleries in the U.S. and abroad. She teaches at Sierra College and from her home studio in the foothills. She has taught all ages at schools and at art-education facilities around the country, and has presented workshops and lectures at international conferences. Jennifer especially enjoys repurposing scrap and recycled materials, and she encourages the use of ecological art mediums whenever possible.

No experience is required unless noted. The Museum provides student-quality supplies included in the fee unless indicated otherwise. Students are welcome to bring their personal supplies; however there is no discount for doing so. Oil paints are not allowed in studio classrooms. Registered students are not permitted to bring guests.
