Discover Japanese flower arranging in this class that offers participants an understanding of the recorded history and the meaning behind certain rules of construction. Students will be individually assisted by a certified instructor and a team of experienced Ikebana arrangers. Select from a variety of living materials provided, and create two flower arrangements.

About the Instructors:

Ikebana International Sacramento Chapter No. 26 instructors are certified in Japan or are experienced Ikebana arrangers. Members demonstrate Ikebana flower arranging and exhibit throughout the Bay Area, Sacramento, and Davis. They teach the Sogetsu School of Ikebana, which encourages students to be individual and imaginative.

No experience is required unless noted. The Museum provides student-quality supplies included in the fee unless indicated otherwise. Students are welcome to bring their personal supplies; however there is no discount for doing so. Oil paints are not allowed in studio classrooms. Registered students are not permitted to bring guests.
