Spend a transformative evening taking care of yourself, using art as vehicle for dialogue, exchange, reflective thinking,and renewal. The evening will include art conversations, creative explorations, a little pampering, and a light serve-yourself supper presented by the Crocker Cafe by Supper Club. Participants are asked to dress comfortably and come open to all possibilities.

About the Instructor:

A resident of Sacramento, Teresa Sedano holds a Master’s Degree in Contemplative Education from Naropa University, in Boulder, Colorado. Her graduate studies included a focus on the healing properties of art. Teresa is also a member of the Northern California Art Therapy Association, and has trained in somatic art therapy and contemplative art. Teresa provides workshops and 1-1 instruction in “contemplative art” concepts: mindfulness, presence, and breath work, in order for each individual to explore the joy of self-expression during the creative process. Teresa is currently an adjunct faculty member at American River College, instructing sign language interpreting students in the area of Ethics and Professional Standards.

About the Facilitator:

Erin Dorn is the Adult Education Coordinator at the Crocker Art Museum and a life-long lover of art. She received her MA in art history from UC Davis with a focus on public art and how the public interacts with art. She is also the coordinator of the Museum’s Art Access programs, designed to reduce barriers to art and to increase opportunities for people of all backgrounds to engage with art.
