Three Sundays, January 15 - 29
Focus on three-dimensional drawings through the use of light and shadow, form and structure, facial anatomy, and pictorial composition. We’ll look at how artists from ancient Greece and Rome, and the Italian artists of the Renaissance portrayed their subjects with grace, harmony, and refinement. Our tool box will be quite simple. We will work with sanguine pastel pencil on tonal paper, heightening the drawing with white. Artists of all skill levels and backgrounds are welcome.
