About the Instructor:

As a Sacramento native who works as a Waldorf teacher, Shannon Leigh interweaves her passion for children with a lifelong delight in creating things with her hands. She encourages students to engage multiple senses as the process and experience of creating art unfold, and she views movement and music as vital components of a whole curriculum. Leigh is especially passionate about using materials, elements, and themes of nature to bring artistic processes to life for young children. She received her bachelor’s from Jacksonville University and her master’s from the University of California, Davis.
