José Blanco is a managing partner at CVF Capital Partners and brings more than 30 years of investment experience to the firm. Since the firm’s inception, Jose has led investments in logistics, health care, business services, food and beverage, recycling, and telecommunications companies. Before co-founding the firm in 2005, he served as a regional vice president and chief investment officer at AIG Investment Corporation, where he supervised direct investments in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, logistics, distribution, business services, and financial services. Following his tenure at AIG, Jose served as the CFO for a NASDAQ-listed company, where he was able to combine his tenure as an investment officer with his operating experience as a CFO to assist companies to execute their business plans and build value for all stakeholders. Dedicated to promoting increased trade and investment between the U.S. and México, Jose is currently the president of the Business Advisory Board for ProMéxico, part of México’s Secretariat of Economy. He earned a Ph.D. in Economics from Utah State University, an M.S. from the University of Utah, an M.B.A. from Claremont Graduate University, and a B.A. from Saint Michael’s College.
