My work frequently begins with various common items: houses, birds, boxes. That’s where things begin to skew. Colors and shapes change, elements pop in and out for no apparent reason while I create a playful, and sometimes purposely unrefined experience for the viewer. Both encaustic and cold wax enjoy playing with a myriad of other processes and media allowing me to experiment with many possibilities.
