Students ages 9 to 12 will discover early examples of wood block printing and create prints and paintings as they learn about color arrangements and composition.

Crocker Art Camp: Trees, Poppies and Me!

Campers ages 5 to 6 will learn to identify some of California’s most beautiful trees and flowers in art and the outdoors, then paint and draw in the studio and en plein air.

Campers ages 5 to 6 will dive deep into oceans and rivers to discover aquatic animals and plants to inspire them as they paint, print, collage, and sculpt their own under-water worlds.

Horses, trains, and time travel are all part of the fun at this 3-part camp that explores crafts, folk-art and old-time living through field trips to the McFarland Living History Ranch and California State Railroad Museum.

Deep-dive into painting, and discover a variety of paint types and how they appear on different surfaces. Students ages 11 to 13 will learn brush techniques while experimenting with a variety of subject matter, then apply their skills to develop a landscape, cityscape, seascape, and abstract self-portrait.

Tinker’s Lab

Experiment, explore, and get physical in this abstract art class inspired by the exhibition Big Ideas: Richard Jackson’s Alleged Paintings for students ages 11 to 13.

Crocker Art Camp: Flying Machines and Winged Wonders 

Campers ages 7 to 9 will explore birds, flight, and aerial perspective at the California Raptor Center and create a variety of inspired artworks.
